Chalk Squared April is the fourth calendar design in the [chalk.squared] series. Stitch this piece on its own or together with [a.moment.in.chalk] & January-December.
How much linen do I need?
If you’re stitching [april] by itself, you’ll need 10″ x 10″ piece of 32 ct. linen.
If you would like to stitch the whole series together, you’ll need a 26″ x 26″ piece of 32 ct. linen.
How about threads?
If you’re only stitching [april], you will need:
One skein each of these Gentle Art threads: Rhubarb, Grasshopper, Buttercrunch, Geranium, Chalk.
If you’re stitching the entire series, you will need:
One skein each of these Gentle Art threads: Tropical Ocean, Rhubarb, Melon Patch, Huckleberry, Aged Pewter, Harvest Moon, Geranium, Buttercrunch, Sweet Petunia, Wood Smoke, Shutter Green, Green Apple, Black.
Three Skeins of Gentle Art Grasshopper.
Six skeins of Gentle Art Chalk.
I want to finish mine in a candle pan!
What is Chalk Cross Stitch?
It is cross stitch, inspired by chalkboard art. We stitch with chalky colors and lots of white on a dark fabric to achieve a chalkboard look.
